Simon's Gemini Page

The reason for starting this web page is to make sure everyone out there knows that the Holden Gemini is one of the best small cars ever made. The picture at the top of this page is a photo of my car that I took a while ago. I finally got the panel damage of the front end fixed, even though it is still in undercoat. It only took me 7 months to fix, yeah, not bad hey!!

My car is a 1984 TG Gemini, and have not had one ounce of trouble from it (thats if we neglect the blown engine). I currently run it in almost standard condition, with the only modifications as follows:

1. Weber 32/36 dual-barrel downdraught carby with sports air cleaner
2. Outlaw Extractors
3. A '75 model head with large valves, ported and polished and shaved!!!
4. Stage 4 Speco Billet camshaft (which absolutely hammers!!!)
5. 2 1/4" Sports exhaust with a sports muffler and resonator
6. 13x6" mags with BF Goodrich 195/60/13 tyres on the front, and 205/60/13 's on the back
7. The tinted taillights as seen in the photos on this page are no longer, as they needed to be standardfor a roadworthy.

Well, shock horror, I've changed my mind again about the future of the gemini. I have recently acquired a TF sedan shell with little rust which will receive a Piazza 2ltr turbo engine. All I am waiting for are the finances (once the bloody Commodore is sold!!). I will probably keep the engine internals stock, but it will benefit from a rampod, intercooler and increased boost.

Just to show you the sort of performance I get out from an almost standard 1600 in a gemini, here are a few pics I took in a quiet back street. With this sort of smoke I reckon I may enter a few burnout comps just for the hell of it!!!!

just starting
offmuch beter!!!not bad

You may have noticed the rather dented front end. This is the damage I referred to earlier, and has now been replaced with a grey bonnet (still in undercoat and has been for quite a few months!!) and a yellow 1/4 panel.

If you have a picture of your gemini, or in fact any car that you think deserves to be on this page for everyone to see, and would like it put on this page, email me and I will put it up with a brief description. Remember, the more pictures people send me, the better the page will be.........

One of the stores that I purchase most of the accessories for my car from is Autobarn. Visit Autobarn

Thanx to the CrowCams site, I was also able to find a cam shaft that best suited the gemini, even though I purchased it from Speco, it still has pretty much the same specs as the CrowCams product.

Also thanx to RARE SPARES, not so much for parts for my car, but for being the sponsors for many great 4 cylinder car shows, in particular the 4 and Rotary Nationals!!!!!

As the background shows, I am also a fan of Football (American that is!!), and love the Miami Dolphins, who didn't go too bad last season.. To find out more about the sport, visit nfl.com .

Since this page started, lotsa people (if thats what you want to call them) have visited here.
